<p>If your guidance counselor is familiar with this issue, have him/her talk about it in their counselor rec–not only is it the kind of thing that the counselor recs are meant for, but the adcoms will trust their word over yours. If, however, your counselor was part of the reason for this or you don’t feel comfortable asking him/her to write about it, then by all means, put it in the “what else” section.</p>
