My son is going to Rose Hulman... not only because we personally think it is the best :) but also because it is the closest one to our home
best of two worlds
so what school are you going to and have you heard if you have been accepted?

great school...I considered going there for civil engineering.

A good friend and co-worker of mine went to Rose Hulman - great engineering school.

I went to Berkeley...in-state tuition and reputation were a tough combination to beat.

Currently a Berkeley student. Great engineering program + low price = one one happy student.

CPSU - SLO. Love the program for ME.

My daughter goes to Rose Hulman and loves it. She says it is her "dream school"

i go to viterbi. rose hulman got pretty horrible male female ratio

Yah! Viterbi!

^ Hmmm...do you USC guys honestly respond "Viterbi" when people ask you where you go to school?

The formal name for engineering schools aren't as well known as business school names.

I'm currently a Penn State student. Good engineering program + amazing college experience > high OOS cost with very little aid.

smart ppl know viterbi

Maybe california people know it, but I haven't heard of that until now. People know USC but they don't know Vietrbi.

Even at my current school, nobody call it by the name, and when people do, they get funny and confused looks.

Although Viterbi got its name not long again, Viterbi is ranked the highest for engineering schools that have names.

USNews.com: America's Best Graduate Schools 2008: Top Engineering Schools

The only reason I know what Viterbi is is that I looked into its online master's program. I know USC, and that it has a great engineering school, but I would have had no idea of the name of the engineering school (I have never been to California/the West Coast).

I went to MIT (but in the School of Science) for undergrad, and am now doing a part-time grad program in Tufts' School of Engineering, which is conveniently only a few blocks from my apartment and only a few miles from my workplace.

Son is accepted at Northeastern College of Engineering

Viterbi is a great school. If you haven't heard of it, then you aren't well informed about engineering schools throughout the US.

Thats a ridiculous assertion. Its funny how Viterbi has poor respect amongst its peers as evidenced by its peer rating.

I don't doubt that Viterbi is a great school. I just think more people will know what it is if it's referred to as USC Engineering instead.

Another Viterbi student checking in :)

i have to say USC has done a great job at marketing itself, I remember just a few years ago, it had maybe a 1250 SAT average, a new WUSTL?
