What engineering should I pursue?

I want to do teh engineering where I do research with like Oxygen intake in teh body and the bodies reaction to certain things. I

I thought that I should go with Biomedical Engineering but in this summer program we went on an Industrial enginerring tour and they showed that and that was exactly what I wanted to do.
I thought Industrial Engineers do finace stuff.

SO is Biomedical the way for doing stuff like that or is industrial better. Or something else

Sounds like you want biological/biomedical, maybe chemical…

Industrial engineering should not really have much to do with oxygen intake into the body and the body’s reaction to different things.

That would have to be Biomedical Engineering

So Industrial has nothing to do with the body and its reactions with certain conditions?

engineering is a very loose term in various companies. Call Dell or other computer/software manufacturers and you get connected with a “Technical Support Engineer”. These people you speak with are likely not even remotely close to “real” engineers. Kinda like how some auto mechanics will call themselves Car Doctors. They may be experts at auto mechanics but once again, nowhere even close to being a Doctor (MD) in the traditional sense. Can’t judge that book by its cover. Sounds like you are describing some type of safety engineering position, which isnt really a traditional engineering discipline either.

You should do Biomedical Engineering.

Industrial engineering deals with maximizing the efficiency of a system.
