what ex. activity can i do for making myself look better for college application?–(early decision for cornell)
–im not interested at sports .
—im pretty interested at music, like violin and piano.
—i want to do volunteer that is related to science. however,i dont know where i can find some science volunteer, work in lab? science fair? i heard that working or volunteering in lab is good, but where are the labs that i can go? in the university??? how?

I see this question all the time and all I can say is…

What are YOU passionate about? What drives you? When you watch the news and you see advances in science, do you want to be a part of it? When you hear a piano virtuoso play, do you want to play like that?

Yes, follow your own interests – whatever they are-- and do so as in depth and creatively as you can.

If you are not motivated to do this, then you are not the type of student that places like Cornell are looking for. Cornell isn’t looking for students who are involved in activities to get into Cornell. Cornell wants the students who follow their own passions because those are the types of students who’ll contribute to a vibrant campus.
