And what other classes would be helpfull after those 8 are fulfilled. What level math is important to reach? In order to study abroad for Junior year, do people ever take the MCAT in August after Soph. year? If you did take it in August, which classes MUST be completed and which could be in progress. Finally, taking a physics class in the summer: could it be from a CC or should it be from a local university?
Thanks

8 Semesters:
One year of biology (Biology I and Biology II including labs)
Two years of Chemistry.(Inorganic/General Chemistry I,II, labs and Organic Chemistry I, II and labs)
One year of Physics (Physics I,II and labs)
The MCAT tests competency in the above areas and could take the MCAT once these are finished. Maybe August after Soph year would be good since the courses would be just completed. Although all scores are available to the med schools, most only accept scores from within the past 3 years. So, keep that in mind.

Some schools require one year of calculus but many do not. This is not needed for the MCAT.

It would be fine to take classes at a community college. You may be asked why you chose to do so during an interview…but it’s not a big deal. Just don’t say you thought it would be easier

Does this help?
