What exactly is a warning letter?

<p>Is it just a “you better shape up or else” sort of thing and does it entail any extra responsibilities (like counseling or something?)?</p>

<p>Also: lets say I’m going to an Ivy League college and I get a C and a D in my senior year grades. (with A’s for all other four classes) It sucks, I know, but would I end up being rescinded?
How about being put on probation or getting the warning letter?</p>

<p>A warning letter is usually sent after 1st semester grades. It’s just to scare kids. Only like 1/5 of the letters end up with follow up, whether its probation or rescindence.</p>
