What free sites are their to practice specific Math Topics on the SAT?

Ive been using a combo of Youtube Vids, the SAT Blue Book, and SparkNotes (alot of Sparknotes) to study for the SAT in May. And as i learn the topics i try to practice with real Q’s provided in the Blue Book. Are their any sites where i can find more Q’s on specific individual topics to practice, i.e ( Abs Value, Circles, Inscribed Angles, Remainder Problems, Number Lines, etc). If anyone knows a site it would be very helpful and also any tips to increase my SAT Math score from 440 to atleast a 650 (in just under a month) would be appreciated. Please and Thank You for your time

Thank you

Sign up for testive/SAT Habit!! They just recently made their website free (thank God) and the practice is very very helpful!

www.■■■■■■■■■■■■■ and www.crushthetest.com - both harder level math questions, especially Crush the Test. If you’re scoring at 450 now though, you are probably struggling with some core fundamentals. Make sure your math skills are solid - fractions, basic arithmetic, basic algebra, etc. You need to find an beginner’s level math program and improve to a 550 first before you worry about 650. Candidly though, 200 points in one month is incredibly difficult.

Do NOT go to websites where the focus is on hard problems. As a 450 student you should be focusing on Level 1 - 3 problems. Once you hit AT LEAST 500 you can slowly begin to work on some Level 4 problems. Don’t worry about Level 5 problems until you break a 600 (and even then you can improve without them).

Yup, hard questions are not for 450 level students, but with less than a month…I don’t see 650 as a realistic possibility. If you want 650, you have to learn all the easy and medium questions well and be exposed to some hard ones.

www.■■■■■■■■■■■■■ provides help for many of the easier questions too, in addition to a lot of prep for level 4-5 questions. It helped me a ton.

Wow, Thank you guys for all the Information.I know 650 in a month will be diffucult but with the information you provided i hopefully can get to atleast 550. Also your inferences are correct in 10th grade (last year) i didn’t get the oppurtunity to take Geometry and they made me skip to Trig this year. So i know very little Geometry fundamentals besides the ones i’ve been trying to teach my self for the last week. Also i forgot alot of Algerba, i can solve for X and stuff but when it comes to absolute values and such i got to relearn it . Just a quick insight to where im at my last official test i took (back to front timed ,etc…) out of 54 Q’s i got 18 correct and 3 wrong (careless mistakes, thought i knew how to do didn’t, edu guess, etc…), the rest i had no idea how to do, Im in SAT prep which should help and i’ve taught/retaught myself proprieties of triangles, square, and circles. But ive got ALOT of ground to make up, so your help is really appreciated.

650 in a month is not impossible. I have had many students that have made that jump. But every student is different - different people progress at different rates. It mostly depends on your level of mathematical maturity, but there are many factors which determine how fast you improve. Learn SAT specific strategies and practice about 20 minutes per day focusing on problems at your current ability level. Take a College Board practice test about once per month to gauge your progress and make sure you are pacing yourself effectively.

If your score is not going up much even with really good prep, it probably means your level of mathematical maturity is low and needs a boost (of course there could be other factors such as underlying conditions that lead to poor retention, etc.).

Thanks
