What GMAT Score

do you need for top 50 biz schools

There is no exact number. It really depends on your background, qualifications, and the schools you are considering.

For example, SMU is a top 50 biz school. It's average GMAT last year was 644. It's 25% to 75% range was 570-720. If you have rare experiences and background you could score lower. If you had a very high GPA then you could score a bit lower. If your GPA was low, then a high GMAT score may be necessary.

U-Florida, my school has a median GMAT of 680, ranked 41 by US NEWS

I'd shoot for 700+ for top schools.
