What grades are considered?

I’m graduating next spring but i might take summer courses at my college. will these summer courses be factored in if i apply next fall?

No, only grades up until your first bachelors will be factored. If you graduate in the spring, then take a summer course, it is not going to change your LSAC gpa.

what if i walk thru the commencement in the spring but my school gives out the diploma after i finish my summer courses. the summer courses will probably be my major courses and even tho i dont take all of them by spring i think the school will let me walk thru the commencement ceremony

That is a pretty big might. Many school will not let you walk in commencement if you are not getting a degree. If you do this you would be considered an august graduate and allowed to participate in the next graduation (or at least you would be listed as an August 2010 graduate).

I asked the school and they said walking in commencement and putting my name on degree list are separate. By the way i go to CAL. So if i walk in May and put my name on the degree list for summer will my summer grades be factored in?

LSAC counts all grades up until when you are considered to have received your diploma as an undergraduate, whether you physically have or not.

so that means they will count my summer grades too?

If you will not graduate until after you have taken those summer courses, then those summer course grades will count in the LSAC calculation.
