What happened to Jamimom, Kirmum, and Zagat?

Did they actually escape CC?

I miss reading their posts, too, and hope all is well.

I miss jamimom and kind of worry/hope that nothing is wrong. We have had other threads asking after her, but no one seems to know. I even PMd a “veteran emeritus” poster, but no luck there either. Kirmum has popped in from time to time. Perhaps a new marriage’s honeymoon period gives her better ways to spend her spare time ;)? Zagat I don’t have as much of a memory; s/he must have been a major presence a little before my time.

I hope it’s just a case of gafiating (Getting Away From It All) and not major problems. Jamimom was one of the top 10 posters this board has ever seen, imo.

I agree. I hope somewhere she is feeling inexplicably elated - the opposite of a goose walking over her grave.

Could a moderator check in on these people for us?

Does anyone else remember ‘surferdudesmom’? Very enlightening and entertaining posts.

jamimom has been gone a long time. Right before she left, she noted that posters who leave for good never announce their departures.

I checked and I think Jamimom left in June. I do miss her informative and entertaining posts and I wonder how all of her kiddos are doing.

Well, I’d have disagreed with JamiMom. For some people, you want to have at least a little going away party.

LHoD, I think the Mods have a big thing about protecting user privacy and doubt that they’d pursue a former user to see what’s up.

I would also love to hear how Twinkle and Sunshine are doing.

It would be nice to hear from Jamimom. Did the girls get married, how is the son at Yale, did the daughter get into med school this yr? I have so much respect for her.

I’ve IMed Twinkle a few times - she’s just winding up her finals now. Seems to really love the whole college thing. Not sure how many details she would want posted, so I’ll keep this brief and general. Thinking about a psych major and English minor; certainly very social at school; working hard - seems to be taking classes that are above the sophomore level.

Thanks Ariesathena. Glad to hear she is doing well.

I just want to say I really miss Jamimom - weird that one would miss someone they never met. I always read EVERY word of her posts. There was one word to describe her posts - RICH (with details and information). Maybe she will come back when the next child goes through the application cycle.

I always enjoyed Jamimom’s posts, too, but worried about how much personal information she shared - enough information to make her kids totally recognizable in their respective communities. She was also very candid about her kid’s foibles and problems (which is one of the reasons that her posts were so fascinating!). I just hope that she didn’t leave because of her kids finding out about her postings!

In one of her posts she mentioned a friend that had a terminal illness. I wonder if she had to take care of her. When reading her posts, I always marveled at her big heart. Anyway, I wish Jamimom and her family a healthy and blessed Christmas season.

Maybe their kids got into college, and they have moved on from these forums.

You mean there’s life after college acceptance? Shudder.

Will you miss me, when its my time to go? Five months left for me, max. Four months, if everybody is tired of me.

itstoomuch,
Some of us stay around to hear how online ‘friend’s’ kids do with the apps and then enrollment. Without realizing it, you come to know early posters (those who start reading CC when kid still a junior), and want to know where their S/D winds up.
