I received an email from USC last night. “We write to inform you that your 2010-2011 award information was recently updated and sent to your online record. To view your award, please visit [USC Financial Aid](http://www.usc.edu/financialaid) and click on “My Financial Aid & Documents” and log in.”

so I logged in, but then I found out that my total award dropped from $50534 to $25192? What happened??? Why did they take out about half of my award? According to OASIS, my total award is still the same! So is my account balance, which is the same again. WHAT HAPPENED? I am getting scared now.

It was finally fixed. Please ignore this thread. but thank you for spending your time to read this thread anyway. =]

Thank you for updating your panicked thread, yipyip. A deep breath is useful at times like these. PLEASE remember that USC is in the process of billing over 33,000 students…

While I can understand that it causes great distress to see something like that on your award page, may I suggest to others who may see something similar that an institution that has awarded you $50,000 deserves at least a nervous phone call to inquire about what happened before you announce to the world that they have taken away $25,000 (of thier own money, btw
)?

I am very glad it turned out to be just a paperwork issue, yipyip

How did you get 50000 dollars from them?!?!?

^Those actually include Subsidized/Unsub loans :P
