What happens...happens

Hmm…from one of the MIT blogs, we see that about 400- people will get accepted, 300- people will get outright rejected and 2200- people will get deferred. Now, these stats seem shaky, so I’m not going by them, but as I always say, everything happens for a reason (this is a secular belief lol). But out of curiosity, what do you think makes someone special? Everyone who applies (EA or Reg) is hardworking, enthusiastic, curious, intelligent, I can go on and on…so how can you differentiate? I think that the college admissions process is soooooooo erratic. Its as if at a certain moment in time, admissions officers X, Y, Z say “hey I like him/her,” “I dont think he/she suits MIT.” I mean I hope they were all in a good mood. Ahhh…life is so strange and so unpredictable. We just have to wait…and wait…and wait…lol ~ sDali 87

In a way though, they’re right–one person might not be any better than the next, so if they choose based on their mood, it’ll make them happier, and the class won’t be any worse than one they put together through painstaking picking and choosing.

Or maybe I’m just jaded. In any case, I hope they were in a good mood when they got to me.

que sera sera <– great attitude!
