<p>Here on college confidential and in real life we are told to be careful with who we give our essays to for a read. But really, how are you affected if someone in your class takes you essay, wouldn’t the only person harmed by this be the essay stealer for plagiarism? If its a good essay, how could you be negatively affected someone else plagiarising your work?</p>
<p>It would hurt if a) It is posted somewhere that is easily viewable where plagiarism trackers could find it. Private messages are NOT trackable, I think. Especially if deleted. Or b) That person applies to the same place(s) as you.</p>
<p>You shouldn’t be giving fellow students copies of your essays. And it would be good if your essays were unique to you, so someone else could not just put it in their application and make it seem like it’s about them.</p>
