I applied to the University of Maryland by the priority decision deadline, and both my transcript and letter of recommendation were actually mailed exactly one week prior to that date. I checked the document tracker, and my application is complete except for the letter of recommendation. The transcript, which was mailed out at the same time (but in a different envelope) as the letter of recommendation, was received. What do I do now?

Call admissions and see if they have it. If not, see what they recommend you do. Sometimes it must takes time to record that they have paperwork, so you are probably fine.

Conversely, can you request another copy from your recommender? I still advise that you call admissions (they’re probably still sorting mail), but you may as well get another one into the mail asap.

if i’m not mistaken, if u applied by the priority date, shouldn’t you have gotten your admissions decision already? was this for spring or fall? also, the recommendation is not required but u should call admissions and see they recommend you do.

Maryland decisions for fall 2014 will not come out until January.
