What happens if you cannot attend the school you paid the deposit and signed the enrollment agreement for?
My cousin can’t attend a school he paid the deposit+signed the enrollment agreement for because of this financial crisis that happened in his family. He’s in so much stress right now.
What are they so worried about?
He thinks he’s not getting enough financial aid to go to that school.
They can withdraw if the school isn’t affordable, regardless the round they were accepted in. They will likely lose the enrollment deposit.
Has the family spoken with someone in financial aid regarding their financial crisis?
He says that they have contacted the school, but the school’s financial aid package doesn’t satisfy the family’s financial situation.
He’s worried that he has already signed the enrollment agreement as soon as he was accepted; is he going to be able to withdraw from the school?
Yes, they will be able to withdraw, but may lose the enrollment deposit. Does he have an affordable safety school to attend? If he was accepted ED he also needs to bring his HS GC in the loop.
What is an HS GC?
And I’m not sure what his plans are, but my aunt suggested him taking a year off to work.
