What happens if you don't cancel your admission to other colleges?

<p>I read a post that is still on the front page, which lists the severe repercussions of saying ‘yes’ to more than one. What happens if you don’t say “yes”, but rather, you don’t specifically ask for cancellation of your admission? Will that count?</p>

<p>My dad is one of those “just-in-case” people, and he won’t allow me to cancel my other admissions, even though I constantly remind him that I was supposed to do that on May 1.</p>
