is it difficult?

A mix of lecture and demonstration, with students listening and taking notes, on a particular topic, with assignments and tests on a periodic basis.

How’s that? ;)

How difficult is this class? I’m double majoring and I have to have this because I’m enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts. With this class I would have 19 hrs. How would you rank the difficulty of this class?

UGS 302 or 303 is supposed to be a freshman or transfer student class to introduce you to the university, in a way. Its a normal class but they incorporate different things that will help you later on in your university life (like my class taught us different writing styles). I’m a sophomore transfer and I took UGS 303 global inequalities and health with Dr. Angel and although the material was mostly boring in class, discussions were fun and there was little to no reading or assignments. I don’t want to say that UGS is a blow off class, because its not. Mine turned out to be one and I made an A, but I also know of several other people who took much harder UGS classes that were reading intensive. My class went to the AT&T center for a conference on hispanic health, went to a speech and pizza party hosted by the dean of the business school, and had several speakers come visit the class.

I think on average though UGS 302/303 is meant to be easier than your other classes for sure, but be careful of which class you choose.
