I am currently a college student (incoming sophomore) pursuing my Bachelor’s in CIT. However, I really have a passion for Art and want to get my associates degree in Art, and transfer over to a University later on to get my bachelors and maybe possibly a grad school for my masters (after I graduate with my CIT degree). I am doing CIT right now so I have a solid back up, just in case Art doesn’t work out. I was wondering what happens to your GPA after you graduate? After I graduate, I want to start off fresh and attend my local community college and transfer over to a University, but I don’t know whether it will be like a blank page or like the GPA I get when I graduate will transfer over to the community college. Please let me know, thank you! (Im new to college confidential, I hope I posted this in the right category)
It will still exist, but most schools consider any coursework done elsewhere as credit, not grades. So you’ll have as many separate GPAs as institutions you have attended, most likely.

First thing I would ask you is why do you want to get a second degree?
What career will you have? If it is CIT, then art can be for fun and you don’t need a second bachelors degree.
You don’t get a “fresh start” …you have to tell a college when you apply if you have attended any other colleges in the past.
Can’t you take art as your general electives now or double major? you don’t want to take all the courses for a second degree.
