What highly ranked private schools am I a solid candidate for?

<p>I know I am not Ivy league material, but I was just wondering what other highly ranked private schools I have a solid possibility of being admitted to. Thanks!</p>

<p>*ACT - 28
*GPA - 3.86
*4 AP classes out of 5 my school offers
*NHS, 5 sports throughout high school, job for a year, perfect attendance, and some service hours outside of NHS.
*I am a white male that comes from a single parent household. My mother makes around $70,000 a year.</p>

<p>Please help me out! What private schools could I get into?</p>

<p>ACT of 28 is fairly low for ‘highly ranked’ schools, especially if you’re looking for FA. But since you haven’t specified what ‘highly ranked’ means to you, (Top 10? Top 100? LAC or Univ?) I’d advise you to first check out some rankings - for example USNews - then the average freshman stats in the schools that interest you. You’ll find those in popular search engines such as collegeboard or princetonreview.</p>
