Are the wheels plastic?
You might look into pop up play tents, my kids had a school bus and fire engine and loved to play in them when they were young.
Child-sized tools? Montessori Services has a gardening set that is metal and wood.
If the no plastics rule can be bent to allow safety goggles, you could buy a metal toolboxes and fill them with child-sized tools. Add some nails, screws, and scrap lumber. Premade woodworking kits usually include some plastics - wheels, paint containers, but if you are handy you could create homemade kits. Or, just give hunks of 2x4. Small children love pounding nails into blocks of wood.
Would something like this kit work?

My GS’s have 2 sets of these Nuggets and use them CONSTANTLY. How about something like that?
Looks great, but I’m afraid there is synthetic foam inside!
What about a subscription service such as Kiwi, Little Passports, Raddish, etc. that meets a need or interest? There are so many fun ones out there from stem activities to cooking, crafting, etc. I wish some of these were around when my kids were small. Especially the cooking and travel ones.
What about seeds, potting soil, and a couple of clay pots.
Good one. My husband said, “Chia Pet!” Lol. The watering etc. activities will become mom’s responsibility, I’m afraid!
No plastic in a puppy! Just saying!
Or a pony!
then you would have to find puppy toys without plastic!
Leather shoes?
But the leather shoes won’t be Vegan then !
As long as there is no plastic, anything goes!
Sugar ok? My kids always loved their traditional chocolate “oranges” in their stockings. And chocolate gold “coins”
I still get chocolate gold coins in my stocking at my parent’s house.
LOL! The whole no plastic thing has me thinking of inappropriate gifts(or completely appropriate depending on the family).
I get chocolate gold coins as Chanukah gelt. Used to be packages of five coins five for a dollar on sale. Now it’s two packages of three coins two for a dollar.
I could use some suggestions of some food gifts to send? Older person. No olive oils. Consumables not pantry items.
