<p>the jan sat is on the 26th. applications are due by the 1st so i am assuming applications are being read a little after the first. so how do they use the jan scores if they won’t be available for awhile?</p>
<p>Many institutions probably won’t.
Some specify that they’ll be considered.
Others urge that testing be completed by the December date.</p>
<p>right, but like harvard said they are completely okay with jan SAT, but they already started reading apps dec 1 and deadline is jan 1.</p>
<p>They will probably not start reading applications by the first, I think they’ll first make sure everything arrived, sort out things, etcetera.</p>
<p>as far as i know, colleges spend most of january filing stuff away, making sure everything got to the appropriate offices, etc, and don’t get to start reading the applications until sometime in early feb. so they are completely fine with jan. sat scores. of course, some other schools are more efficient and start reading the applications earlier, so they urge the testing to be done by december.</p>
