<p>Hello, I asked my English instructor to read my essay. She was the most critical person when it comes to essays (never got an A essay in her class!). She told me that aside from a couple of additions in details and some grammar mistakes, she told me my essay was excellent. </p>
<p>I feel that my intro was too long, (too much story telling??) Several essays I’ve read were more direct to the point.</p>
<p>Anyway, my essay is almost 60% story telling about the wrong things i’ve done, and 40% what i’ve learned/examples of how I apply these lessons.</p>
<p>Now, several ivy essays were more of a story telling than a list of examples, while uc essays were more straightforward. </p>
<p>Should I tailor my essay to be a list of examples, or my ivy-ish essay is alright?</p>
