I submitted my CSS PROFILE on Feb 1. Today I got an email about submitting things to IDOC, and one part of the email said: “The last day that the College Board will accept IDOC packets is January 25, 2008. Packets received after January 25, 2008 will be returned unprocessed.”

Huh??? January 25, 2008 deadline?? First of all, that’s already past. Second of all, Harvard’s finaid website says March 1. What is going on?

so its normally a 1 week wait after you submit css before you get info about idoc?
and wow, how can they have a typo like that? i bet they got inundated with phone calls

No, it is not a one week wait. They send out all IDOC notifications in February (for the most part). I submitted my CSS Profile back in November, and only now got the notification.

hey i know this an old thread … but am worried about the IDOC deadline … i realised 2day that i have 2 send everything via post (can’t courier it!!!) … an am int’l student … posted it 2day … will probably reach US around March 1st, but cant be certain. does that mean that my financial aid app is no longer valid (as in if its l8)???

As I understand it, the IDOC deadline is something they post for ideal processing times. If you’re a bit late, you may not receive your financial aid decision at the same time as your admissions decision, but it shouldn’t automatically render your finaid app invalid.
