What if a course is listed twice on Assist.org?

So i am just checking what prereqs are required for some of the UC schools and for this i am using Assist.org. In some instances a course is listed twice like math 200 in this example http://www.assist.org/web-assist/report.do?agreement=aa&reportPath=REPORT_2&reportScript=Rep2.pl&event=19&dir=1&sia=SBCC&ria=UCLA&ia=SBCC&oia=UCLA&aay=15-16&ay=15-16&dora=COMP+SCI. What does this mean exactly? I am assuming i only have to complete math 200 once. Or this example where Java 120 is listed 3 times http://www.assist.org/web-assist/report.do?agreement=aa&reportPath=REPORT_2&reportScript=Rep2.pl&event=19&dir=1&sia=SBCC&ria=UCSD&ia=SBCC&oia=UCSD&aay=15-16&ay=15-16&dora=COMP+SCI

This is how it looks like in the first link :

MATH 32A Calculus of Several (4)|MATH 200 Multivariable Calculus (4)

Variables |

MATH 32B Calculus of Several (4)|MATH 200 Multivariable Calculus (4)
Variables |

It means that one course taken at SBCC is equivalent to two courses taken at the schools you mentioned.

SBCC is on the semester system, while UCLA and UCSD are on the quarter system. Consequently, one course at SBCC may be equivalent to two courses at UCLA/UCSD.

At UCLA, for example, the Multivariable Calc requirement is fulfilled through two classes: Math 32A and Math 32B (Calculus of Several Variables). At SBCC, the class is just called Multivariable Calculus.

As for the Java example: UCSD’s CSE8A and 8B (Introduction to Computer Science: Java) are equivalent to SBCC’s CS120 (Java Programming).

If you plug in a class with a school on the semester system (i.e. Berkeley), this won’t be the same. Sometimes they may even require two courses at your CC to match one of their classes.
