I’m sure everyone who uses the common application knows that there are quiet a number of “rankings” (on the “Teacher Evaluation” form) that the teachers have to fill in for you.
Just out of pure curiosity, how would the admissions officer think if all of the checks were in “one of the top few encountered in my career”? Would it look phony?

I don’t know. Depends on whether they felt like the recommender knew you well or not. My GC did that for me, but it was obvious that he wasn’t exactly a seasoned pro and he didn’t know me very well, so I doubt they spent much time with it at all. I guess my answer is that they would read the rest of your app and draw their own conclusions…I wouldn’t worry about it.

Don’t they also ask the GC how long they’ve been a GC?
