What if I...on english lang exam

on the synthesis essay, what if i read the question wrong, and for the majority of the essay wrote the most fabulous writing ever, and then realized i was answering the wrong question, so I corrected myself in the last three paragraphs.

I did well on the MC, analysis and argument were easy 6,7,or 8 depending on the reader…will this totally screw me over

your description is kind of vague? How did you answer the wrong question???

You should be completely fine. It won’t ruin your chances at a 4 or 5.

i first answered why people chose to be localvores, but then i realized that I answered the wrong question, so I used the next few paragraphs to talk about the issues that applied to the specific topics I wrote about, and then I talked about their implications on people

You should be fine. If your writing was anywhere close to what you think (style wise), then at the least you would have gotten a 5/9 on that essay.

If, for example, you got a 5/7/7 and up to 8 wrong on the multiple choice (I’m estimating here) then you would probably still get a 5.

If you corrected yourself in the last 3 paragraphs (isn’t the practically your entire essay? ) I think that should be fine! Especially since you feel so confident about all your other sections, I think it should be OK.

Crossing fingeeers for you! :)

well for those of you who were curious I still managed to get a 4 on the exam.
