I’m a junior in high school, who finally got around to taking the ACT, and thinks that community college would be a better option for me. I looked at my ACT score and realized that I made a 26, I know it’s not amazing but its enough to get me a full ride to a community college here. My GPA on the other hand is creeping towards a 2.8, I could probably get into XULA but saving money is a huge problem for me. I want more than anything to get away from my dysfunctional family. If I go to XULA, I’m struck with them for a little while longer. If I go to community college I can get out on my own and only have to worry about rent and other expenses of that nature. When I graduate I’ll be 17 and probably still young and reckless. I rather start at a community college than be like my cousins and drop out due to recklessness.
