Um if you Asians are so great why do you not have some great universities in your own country? (hypothetically, why are you constantly haveing to outsource)

The University of Sydney ranks 6th in the world for the BA program, so suck on that. Ille laugh at you when you dont get in where you want to, and at least i dont have to take out loans to get it.

Hey by the way because I am defending Asians does not mean that I am Asian…It seems you have some major issues frankelchanel…Talking of fluent english, I just talked to one of my professors who came to school in the United States from Taiwan…Yale specifically to do his PhD…the guy’s english is atrocious but he got his PhD from Yale…however doesn’t mean his thought process is slow or distorted…I feel many people assume that how you speak and possibly how you write signifies how smart you are

And following from what Gingerbreadman said…it is easier for international students to get into universities in Australia because tihe Australian University needs these international students…just like America needs international students. If America didn’t need International they wouldn’t give aid to a lot of them. Universities try and attract the best as much as they can even if the best is two continents away

Not having some great universities? That’s ridiculous…
And by the way, even if it’s true, does it mean that Asians aren’t good?
I’m not boasting that Asians are better than you, it’s just that you can’t judge a people by a glimpse of the iceberg.
Sefago’s right, frankelchanel, seems you r way accross the line and turned into a racist.
But there’s no needs to argue about the issue anymore, facts are facts.

I live in New Zealand, and I can say that many international students gain permanent residency because they are putting a lot of money into the New Zealand economy. After they become permanent residents, they do get jobs here.

The students at my school has Uni of Sydney, ANU and Uni of Melbourne as backup universities as they are almost guaranteed entry, because the requirements are so low compared to those of UK and US universities. My school is international with 95% Asians.

And to answer your question on why we are constantly ‘having’ to outsource - it is because the entry into our country’s best universities are too competitive and we cannot get in. Therefore we have to resort to universities outside of our country. The international students you see in your university are not ‘the cream of the crop’.

PS: “People leaving New Zealand to go to Australia to work raises the average IQ levels of both countries.” - Robert Muldoon.
