what is "6th term of a foreign language"

in the “Linguistics”, one pre-major requirement is 6th term of a foreign language" or “3rd term of in each of 2 foreign languages”, what does 6th term or 3rd-term mean and how to find these courses. I tried search in many ways but fail. Your help is highly appreciated.

3rd term would be a third course/class in a language, 6th term would be the sixth course/class. So you either need to have taken 6 classes in one language, or 3 classes each in two languages. Most language go like Spanish 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and then have several language/composition classes for when you finish those classes.

At UCLA, 6th term means the 6th quarter of the language. Similarly, 3rd term is the 3rd quarter. Each quarter is roughly equivalent to one year of a high school’s language.
