I’ve seen in my college search process that some colleges require a college prepatory program but I have no idea what this is. Any help?
I think that’s it but I could be wrong
Aim for 4 years of each of the 5 core subjects (English, math, science, social science, and language) and as many honors and AP courses as you can comfortably handle and are interested in. Math should include pre-calculus and ideally calculus, while science should include biology, chemistry, and physics.
Basically it is a program of coursework that will meet the requirements/recommended courses for most colleges.
Are you a US citizen? Then the “regular” courses at your HS are considered College Prep…usually 4 years of each of the 5 core subjects (English, math, science, social science, and language). The higher ranked the college is, the more Honors/AP/IB courses they want.
