<p>Hello, I’m a college freshman and I’m instructed to write a paper using the Division and Analysis method. My professor gave us a story to read and she wants us to analyze the parts of the story and how the story develops. She wants us to indicate the major sections and define how they function as elements of plotting: (exposition, inciting incident etc. But my question is what does she mean by making us indicate the major sections of the story and define how they function as elements of plotting? So would I find a certain part of a story and explain how it is the exposition or something?
Also how would I form a thesis with this type of essay? It seems like I really can’t get a stand on it either.</p>
