What is a good ACT prep/strategy guide for first timers?

<p>I am about to be a junior, and i going to take the act for the first time. What act prep book would help me achieve a high act score once i get ready to take it?I took the pre test and got a 17. My english, reading, and science were bad. I want to focus on these subjects. Thanks</p>

<p>I suggest the Real ACT Prep Book. Kaplan’s ACT prep book was helpful for me as well; they have a LOT of practice problems/exams, which I think are the key to scoring well. </p>
