What is a good score for the essay section?

<p>Thought the essay on the SAT was out of 12. Anyway, you’re asking a bizarre question because even if you got a 1 on the essay perhaps there are other parts of the application that make the admissions committee not care. Further, if we told you X score was on the right path then would you simply stop trying there?</p>
