What is a "Household Dependent"

<p>I’m wondering what constitutes a “Household Dependent?” On page 1 (see link below) of the Columbus Citizen’s scholarship application, the financial need criterion is stated to be “not in excess of $25,000 per household dependent. Therefore a family of five whose total income is $125,000 will qualify…”</p>

<p>So, does this mean, for example, mom, dad, and three children (the college student + two others)?</p>

<p>Sorry for being so dense–My head is spinning from reading the various criteria for possible awards.</p>

<p>Sounds like they’re referring to the number of household members, based on their example. The application itself is more specific about naming all of the individuals who live in the home. You can kids away at college as household members.</p>
