What is a more difficult major:Business Admin or Political Science?Who findsmorejobs?

Which is more difficult: majoring in Business Administration (Management Concentration) or majoring in Political Science? Which major would have an easier time finding a job? Who would make more money right out of school?

The major depends on your strengths. Most would consider the Poli Sci major to be easier because it requires less math and courses dealing with numbers. My S, a physics major and math minor hated essentially strictly writing research or english courses.

I think you have a better chance at a job with a Business Admin. vs Pol Sci.major in most geographical areas.

As morris said, it is up to an individuals skills and passion on which would seem easier. As for job prospects, business administration is probably more specialized and would find you qualified for more jobs. That is, there are very few jobs that you MUST be a political science major.

Be forewarned, many see a Business Administration degree as ‘soft’ when compared to finance, statistics, math, and accounting. These are the type of degrees you’d be going against for most jobs, and they may be more experienced with higher levels of finance/accounting courses, which are very desirable. To compensate, many recommend selling your extracurricular activities and ‘soft skills’ of management/marketing that you’ll pick up in the business admin program that those in the other courses wouldn’t.

Best of luck.
