I’ve been emailing a coach recently and he wanted to know if I was applying Early Action so he can put me on the “priority list.” What exactly is this? Can I still be rejected from the school? The school is a high ranking D3 college. Thanks for the help.

A priority list flags an application so the admissions committee will take an extra long look at everything the applicant has to offer. This does not mean you are guaranteed admission, however. Some priority lists hold more weight with certain schools than with others though, so be sure to ask the coach how much weight he really carries with admissions.

anyone else?

Jumphigh gave you a very good answer.

Is you are being recruited, as the coach what they mean and what weight they carry in admissions…
If you are applying EA - you have to do that now–so you may need to call that coach and ask direct questions…especially if you have not done nay type of official visit with the school.
