<p>What is a tax consultant and what do they specifically do? I’m sure Taxguy will be all over this.</p>

<p>what do people in tax even do? I’m not trying to ■■■■■ or anything here, but I’m really curious, how do people in tax contribute to a business? Is it just finding out loopholes to avoid being taxed excessively? Plus, what would tax people do outside of tax season?</p>

Well, DH work on tax year around. It seems every 15th is a deadline of sth. June 15 is the tax filing deadline for people out of country. Oct. 15 is the deadline for those filing extension, …etc. Also estimated tax needs to be calculate every quarter. In between, he also deals with sales tax for the clients … . So it’s more than a Jan-April thing.</p>
