I plan to major in this, but I have a few questions/concerns:

1)how hard is the workload?

2) how hard is it to get a good gpa (say above a 3.5)

3) how well are you prepared to get into phd graduate programs?

Bioengineering or any engineering at Cornell or any other colleges that offers engineering will be just as hard. Getting a high GPA would mean working hard and studying all the time.

And do many people from the bioengineering programs attempt to attend medical school? I want to do bioengineering because it genuinely interests me, but my real dream is to be a doctor.

Yes, generally people who major in bioengineering become doctors because you can’t do much with a BS degreee in bioeng.
