What is cheaper when buying drinking water?

I know some of you guys would say drink from the tap because it has minerals that your taking away from drinking filtered water, but i have my reasons. So getting a filtered water system from brita, buyings water bottles from cost of differences, or purchase water gallons and refill them. Which saves more money?

Pur Filter + Aluminum Bottle = Win.

I am a heavy drinker of water. I literally drink 1-2 gallons a day at a minimum, and buying drinking packs of drinking water is such a huge hassle. I bought this like 7L Brita portable filter for like 20 bucks and a 3 pack of replacement filters for another 10?. And, I have definitely saved a ton of money. It really depends on your kind of room. When I was a freshman I lived in a suite-style housing, so I got 4 sinks. I would not suggest buying those Pur water filters that attach directly to the tap unless you are using it in your apartment or something. But yeah, filter systems is much cheaper, depending on how much water you generally drink.

My dad uses a brita pitcher at home, fills it out of the tap and it filters. Roommate does too and it seems to work fine for her. I would think buying a filter once, especially just a pitcher if that’s adequate for you, would be cheaper than continuously buying water.
