What is Coalition for Access, Affordability, and Success?

I guess this is a new thing this year because I haven’t heard of it before.

Is the Coalition for Access, Affordability, and Success like the Common App?

I am guessing it is similar because for example UMD and Rutgers have the same essays this year.
However, Pitt also is a part of this but has different essay requirements.

UMD I think still wants their own app this year.

What about schools part of the common app and this such as TCNJ and Northeastern.

I’m just very confused.

okay so neu is the only uni actually using the app completely.
penn state, pitt, ru and umd all still want their own application despite using part of this.
tcnj isn’t using it yet this year but it is on the list of schools.

Yes, the Coalition app is a new platform that some colleges are accepting (like how most colleges accept the Common App).

Many colleges have their own requirements outside of Common or Coalition – that’s not changed.

The option is up to you to choose Common or Coalition as you see fit for convenience.

Post #1 is incorrect. U Washington and UF are using the coalition. UMD CP is using their essay. Of course this could change.
