<p>I want to sign up for this class to improve my english before i take a 1ra class. Can anyone clarify if this class is helpful even if you are not foreign.</p>
<p>One of the pre-requisites for this course is that you are not a native English speaker. Basically, that means, if English is not your first language, even if you were born in the United States or another English-speaking country. The purpose is to improve your written English. For some U.S. born students, who have grown up in a non-English speaking home, it would be very helpful to increase your English writing skills.</p>
