What is considered "upperclassman" at Penn?

Officially, are sophomores considered upperclassmen? Also, what’s the consensus among students (the unofficial definition)?

at my college an upperclassman is a junior.

upperclassman is anything except freshman

Upperclassmen are juniors and seniors. I feel like this is pretty standard nomenclature that doesn’t differ between schools.

When Penn talks on their website about things “upperclassmen” can do, as in the gender-neutral housing in past years, they mean sophomores and up. At least that’s what I was told.

I’m not sure which context you refer to, though.
