I am a high school student and I am thinking of applying to Cornell but, I will not have time to visit the campus until the spring and from what I can find it says the campus is “rural”. I was just wondering what they mean by this. Is it like a farm? are there near by towns? What is the campus like?

there are farm animals and fields of crops, so there is a farm presence in parts of it. but I would say that most of Cornell looks way more like a university than it does a farm. … you know, some fancy old buildings, some ugly mid-20th century architecture, modern sciencey-buildings, etc.
I think you can find for yourself whether it is near a city or not though.

Gorgeous campus perched on a hill in a wonderful college town…

Amazing Amazing Amazing! And HUUUUUUGE :)
