Hi! I’ll be attending Kent in the fall and I’ll be a junior. I’m from Canada, I don’t know anyone at the school and English is not my native language. I’m getting quite nervous and I was wondering if anyone has ever experienced the same thing? Was it hard to make friends? Does anyone have any advice? Thanks
Hey so Ill be a senior this year at Kent and you havenothing to worry about! If youre english isnt great there is a good chance they will place you in our ESL (english second language class) and, although tedious, does help along with just being around students. Its easy to make friends as long as you try and participate in the community or youre sports team. Youll be getting to campus soon and my biggest advice is just talk to people, dont be afraid of how old they are or anything. Youll make tons of friends in no time! Hope to see you soon!!!
