What is it like to move out into a new town without anyone you know

Scary, fun, boring, do you have to do stuff, like wash your own clothes?! :O

You mean, you never ever washed your clothes before?! :)

Yeah seriously. How hard is it to learn how to wash your own clothes… I learned when I was like 9 -.-

Seriously. Turn a knob, pour in some soap and put your clothes in. Close the lid. Done.

folding is the tricky part.

■■■■■, smh @ myself for taking this thread seriously from the thread title.

ive always wondered what the noise was that came from the door near the garage. Is that where the stream is to wash clothes?

Use your FA to pay for a personal assistant ;)

^
I kid you not. My friend’s roommate in the apartments has a personal maid, LOL, she pays him with her FA money…SMH!!!

If you go to UCLA, I hear there are a lot of Asian relatives running around who come around on the weekends to wash your clothes and cook you food. ;)

(…Alexandra Wallace)

^
I have no comment.

Im taking applications for maid service for the fall @ ucla hahaha

How does one get this so called “asian relative?” Is it included with the housing plan?

HAHAHAHA i’m literally laughing out loud at this thread about doing laundry

@jg2290

AHAHA

reflection eternal.

To answer the OP’s original question, one thing I’d say it depends on is who you are and how secure you feel with yourself. If you have a decent support system (e.g. reliable friends/family), the adjustment to the new town/new life can be easier and less scary. Yes you have to do your own laundry unless you pay someone else to do it for you.

As for whether things are fun, boring, I say based on experienced that that will largely be determined by your feelings towards the people you meet in your new town, i.e. whether you think they’re fun to hangout with or boring people. If the latter keep on meeting new people.

You guys are suppose to wash your clothes? omg. This whole time I’ve been throwing them away and buying another one to replace it

Thank you, at least one person answered my question. I added that last part as a joke, I was honestly wondering about what it’s like to be in a new town, away from your parents for the first time, away from your friends and so on.
