Everytime I go for a run i get nasty sugar cravings and just pig out…i.e. eat like 5 cookies and a bag of potato chips aha. Is this abnormal lol?

Nope. It makes sense, if you think about it…

Weirdly, I get intense sugar cravings during XC season… but, when I just run on my own (and I run even more/ faster than I do during XC), I don’t get them. Bizarre.

I get sugar cravings and my head gets warm after I do some intensive thinking.

You should be eating carbs, like sugar, after you run. 50 grams worth as well as a juice or sports drink in the first hour and 50 more plus some protein in the second hour after a run. That will help your recovery for the next day; the carbs replenish your muscles’ stores of glycogen and the protein helps rebuild the microtears in your muscles.

Sometimes after XC practice I sit in the kitchen and eat. My mind/body feels the need to eat for energy. Its weird

You sound like a candidate for a post-run peanut butter sandwich and chocolate milk snack. That’s what I do. Nutella is good for it too.

M MMMMM nutella!!! i loves the nutella. Well, i feel the need to pig out on cookies and everything bad. i just have a cup of hot chocolate instead it works just as well and it’s good for you lol. (ehh KIND of)

After track practices I crave a strawberry banana smoothie from Dunkin Donuts.
The two balance each other out.

I can’t think about sweet things after run. I crave for fried chicken with buttermilk :)
