What is Lehigh looking for?

Besides interest, what is important to Lehigh in the admissions process? The CDS says rank and GPA are both “considered” and that test scores are “important.” Is it true that they value scores over grades? And does anyone have any other ideas about what Lehigh wants in an applicant?

Imo, grades > scores. They want to see that you have a work ethic that you developed in high school and that you can do well in hard classes because lets be honest classes get harder in college and they want you to succeed. They are holistic, though. Spend time really trying to get your personality into your application, whether it’s through your extracurricular essay or supplementary essays, just try to show them who you are and why you’re special and why you should be a Lehigh over someone else with the same stats.

@lustudent2017‌ thanks for the info. I’ve submitted my application, and I think I’ve definitely personalized it. I also visited and emailed my admissions counselor and will do so once or twice more to show interest.

Very well said lstudent2017
