What is McCain thinking!?

Yes, and that’s why I’m not voting for him. I was tempted earlier last year. But no more.

The guy wears $500 shoes. How is he fit to be president? (Just kidding… maybe.)

Who cares about shoes? The guy’s on his feet alot - probably a good investment. (I spend big bucks on bedding b/c I happen to think a good night’s sleep is important - and think about it, what does a Tempurpedic Bed cost compared to $500. shoes - and I bet JM spends a good eight hrs. a day walking & standing).

Ok - it’s really getting absurd when I have to defend McCain’s shoes! haha! I know I’ve defended just about everything else, but having to justify the shoes he wears is bordering on ridiculous, isn’t it? Oh well, guess I can do that too!

P.S. No Tempurpedic for me.

What about Obama’s very expensive European suits?

What about the McCains’ private jet? What about the fact they have more than one house?

Anyway, I was just kidding about the shoes. I think it’s pretty pathetic what the internet and Rick Davis have done to this election.

McCain people:

What do you think about Rick Davis?

$500 shoes … $400 haircuts … expensive European suits … Wow, I want to have a beer and a barbecue with all of these guys. They’re just like me!

Hahaha Hindoo - me too!

Actually I can justfy expensive shoes over all the other things you mentioned as they can be seen as “therapeutic” - now don’t start talking about McCain’s "therapeutic shoes’! haha! (That will feed into the “old guy” myth, won’t it?).

Anyway, I bet you’d be surprized what a “regular guy” McCain is - he really isn’t an “elitist” or anything like that. For whatever lofty opinions he might have had of himself growing up, I’d imagine 5 1/2 yrs in a dirty cell in Hanoi would take one down a notch. I think McCain is “just glad to be alive”, “glad to be here” and “eager to serve”.

Oh, fiddle, bz. Mac could get himself a pair of therapeutic men’s dress shoes from Dr. Scholl for about $89 … Barak could buy a suit off the rack at JC Penney’s for less than $200 … and Edwards could save about $385 a pop by going to Supercuts. What’s wrong with these guys?

I work in BigLaw. I see much more expensive clothing than that everyday.

Well, yes, you’re getting someone who sold out some principles he used to uphold – some people thought he’d stand by his word to run an honorable campaign – who is increasingly grumpy in an increasingly senile-type way, and who has changed his stance so thoroughly on a variety of important issues that you actually don’t know what policies you’re going to get.

All I know is even with the BO victory tour of Europe it’s a dead heat right now.

Barrons has a point Obama’s bounce from his European tour is now officially dissipated 45 Barack 44 McCain. The true question the Obama camp needs to ask is why isn’t he pummeling McCain?

When he was in Berlin with 200K+ and the media showed McCain at a german restaurant with 50 people, why has that not translated into killer numbers.

Look at Carter he had 30% pts over Ford at this point…Dukakis was running in the same parameter…how come Barack can’t break out and knock this senile 70+ yr old man off the rocker he is using on the front porch?

In Case anyone is new to this arena…I openly admit that I am voting for McCain…that was sarcasm;)

It always figured to be a close race between these two guys, right to finish. I don’t know where anyone got the idea it would be an Obama blowout. The polls really can’t be taken that seriously, anyway. I’ve seen Rasmussen’s Daily Tracking Poll show a seven-point spread one day, dead-even the next, back to five points a day later, and so on.

Let’s be real he has 10s of thousands of people fawning over him. the media has dubbed him as a phenom, where McCain is lucky to fill a coffee shop!

That is the point McCain is running a different campaign he is actually running a primary campaign, meeting with only small groups, talking one on one and answering any question that the town hall asks.

I walk around our town and I can already see that the town of 60K people will be divided come Nov. I see the military with their McCain bumper stickers, and town people wearing Obama tee shirts (2 today when I was in the bank).

It won’t be pretty come January!

He’s the biggest celebrity on earth! He’s The One! We are the ones we’ve been waiting for!

…ROFL…

JUST WAIT for his concert with Bruce Springsteen!

Shouldn’t McCain be ahead by 20 with all that experience, been known for 20 yrs or more by the voters, war hero, pork buster, maverick, 72 yrs old, and etc. Yet a newcomer is right there with him. What gives?

The fact that he is so close and a republican is amazing after Bush!

The true question is Bush has the lowest approval rating, but yet McCain as a repub is still in the fight…what gives with the dems that they can’t kill this old war hawk with the newcomer?

bulletandpima:

It’s not surprising. McCain built an independent brand. That’s why he is having a hard time with Republicans. Not really in getting them to say they’ll vote for him but in getting them excited.

Newjack,

please do some research, the republicans are on board…I have yet to hear one repub that says no way!

The newest gallup!

It’s not about the republicans, it’s not about the dems, it’s about the independents, they will decide the election.

As much as you believe I am a repub…I am not, I would have voted for Obama before I would have voted for Huck!

Obama’s problem is he should have brought Hillary into the fold and he isn’t which makes middle of the road dems hold their noses and vote for McCain/ My in-laws have never voted for a Republican since Eisenhower, they voted for Hillary in the primary, they now have a McCain placard and working with the republican party.
