<p>One of the Cali universities. UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Irvine, etc.</p>

<p>Some people use UC to mean University of Chicago as well, but for that they usually put UofC.</p>

whatever… My friends going to University of Colorado at Boulder call it “UC Boulder”</p>

<p>I used to live in Colorado and everyone always referred to University of Colorado, Boulder as CU Boulder.</p>

<p>When I said UC, most people understood it stood for University of California. The rest simply had no idea. However, nobody said University of Colorado.</p>
