What is my percentage of being admitted into each college?

Okay, so here’s the deal, I’m a senior and I have finished applying to all the colleges I could. I have applied to…

Stanford - :negative_squared_cross_mark:
Columbia - :negative_squared_cross_mark:
Cornell - :white_check_mark:
UCLA - :white_check_mark: My dream school since I was 10
NYU - :white_check_mark:
USC - :negative_squared_cross_mark:
UC Berkeley - :white_check_mark:
UCSB - :white_check_mark:
UCSD - :white_check_mark:
UC Irvine - :white_check_mark:
Stony Brook - :white_check_mark:
George Washington - :white_check_mark:
UVA - :negative_squared_cross_mark:
Emory - :negative_squared_cross_mark:
Georgia Tech - :white_check_mark:
UC Davis - :eight_spoked_asterisk:
USD - :eight_spoked_asterisk:
Fordham University - :white_check_mark:
Syracuse - :eight_spoked_asterisk:
UGA - :eight_spoked_asterisk:
Pepperdine University - :eight_spoked_asterisk:
USF - :white_check_mark:
University at Buffalo - :eight_spoked_asterisk:
Binghamton - :eight_spoked_asterisk:

:white_check_mark:- I feel like I have a good chance
:negative_squared_cross_mark:- I don’t feel like I’ll be accepted
:eight_spoked_asterisk:- Safety Schools

Major: Child Physician

I live in Georgia and don’t really like it here too much which is the reason I applied to so many oos schools. Money isn’t an issue due to me having collected a total $45k in yearly scholarships. I also feel as though I have a great shot at the Gates Millennium Scholarship as well.

GPA
Freshman Year: 3.33
Sophomore Year: 3.47
Junior Year: 4.72 weighted/4.0 unweighted
Senior Year: 4.88 weighted/4.0 unweighted
My unweighted GPA is a 3.7 and my weighted GPA is a 4.1

My SAT score is a 2300 and my ACT score is a 33 (Which should I submit)

However, in my sophomore year, I failed the first semester of Algebra 2 with a 42, but passed the next semester with a 93. I retook the first semester and recieved a 94 over the summer, but on my transcript, it shows the failed grade along with the new passing grade for all the colleges to see.

Yes, if you repeat a course, I believe many colleges factor in all attempts into the GPA, not just the most recent one or the best one.

Your GPA is a bit low to assume that you may get accepted into some of the UCs. However, the upward trend can work in your favor if anything.

Child physician is not a major. If that is your career goal, you have to major in something (anything you like) and then attend medical school after undergrad.

Child physician = pediatrician.

Yes I understand, but I’m saying there is no undergrad major to help you get your MD. You have to get through undergrad first, regardless, and then you can apply for medical school.

2300 is a stronger SAT score than a 33 on the ACT (which equates to around a 2180 on the SAT), but they are not so different that you shouldn’t report both. I’m curious how you assessed your chances of acceptance to some of these schools. You seem to overestimate your chances to get into a UC school (esp Berkeley and UCLA) and Cornell, while underestimate your chances with others, e.g. UVA, Emory, USC. From where I sit, I think it is much harder for an OOS applicant to get into UCLA than it is to get into USC. And is it that much harder for an in-state student to get into Emory, because that seems more like a match to me.

You’ll probably get similar responses as you did with all of your 2 previous threads.

Hahaha, percentage chances are impossible anyway.

…You failed Algebra 2? You think UVA will likely reject you yet you think you have a good chance at Cal Berkeley?

I’m not even going to bother trying to explain why this list is completely off-base. Don’t think that schools will accept you if they think you’re not a great fit - and considering you applied to 25, you’re probably haven’t really committed or found out if you’re a good fit for any of them. If you’re a trolI, I commend you. If not, there’s not much I can say as you’ve already applied.

I also find it very hard to believe that you’ve applied to all of these schools, yet still believe that “Child Physician” is a major.

Here’s more realistic list of whats probably going to happen, if you really did apply:

Stanford - :negative_squared_cross_mark:
Columbia - :negative_squared_cross_mark:
Cornell - :negative_squared_cross_mark:
UCLA - :negative_squared_cross_mark:/:white_check_mark: (OOS is very tough, and even more so this year. Will be surprised if you’re accepted)
NYU - :white_check_mark:
USC - :white_check_mark:
UC Berkeley - :negative_squared_cross_mark:/:white_check_mark: (same as UCLA)
UCSB - S/:eight_spoked_asterisk:
UCSD - :eight_spoked_asterisk:
UC Irvine - :eight_spoked_asterisk:
Stony Brook - :eight_spoked_asterisk:
George Washington - :eight_spoked_asterisk:
UVA - :white_check_mark:
Emory - :white_check_mark:
Georgia Tech - :white_check_mark:/:eight_spoked_asterisk:
UC Davis - :eight_spoked_asterisk:
USD - :eight_spoked_asterisk:
Fordham University - :eight_spoked_asterisk:
Syracuse - :eight_spoked_asterisk:
UGA - :eight_spoked_asterisk:
Pepperdine University - :eight_spoked_asterisk:
USF - S (U of San Francisco?)
University at Buffalo - S
Binghamton - S

:white_check_mark:- Not the greatest chance/ leaning towards rejection (Low Reach)
:negative_squared_cross_mark:- Rejection. (High Reach)
:eight_spoked_asterisk:- Could go either way depending on essays (High Match)
S - Likely Acceptance (Low Match)

EDIT: You haven’t mentioned your SAT II scores, AP Tests, or extracurricular activities/awards. If those are poor, bump the signs down one tier each.

Send the 2300. It’s more impressive than a 33. Good luck.
